This learning experience was designed using the ADDIE framework before beginning production. Complex branching scenario were mapped using twine and Figma to avoid errors.  Mayer’s design principles of coherence and signalling were used as well as choices to reduce cognitive load on the learners.

I have used Javascript, xAPI and a Learning Record Store (LRS) to create a more granular detail logging of the learner’s experience.  This allowed visualization of this information in a manner that allows stakeholders to both monitor the use over time of the experience as well as highlights on both high and low performers to identify opportunities for further training as well as potential mentors for low achievers.

This was an interesting project.  We were constrained by the set up of the Moodle iteration and were given H5P to use for generation of instructional modules and materials for both teachers and students.  To augment this I recorded instructional videos using OBS Studio and edited the videos in Davinci Resolve (Adobe Premiere Pro equivalent).

Without good planning it is hard to build anything

Storyboarding is foundational to quality production.  Here the collected vision of design, programming and learner path movement was captured in a manner that can be handed off to, and easily used by, a material designer.

This classical learning structure was used because the fictional client wanted a percentage mark for on boarding materials as a pass gradeAnalysis for this project’s materials came from a search of complaints from HR members regarding failures they had seen after hiring someone in cases where the employee was later let go.
